the bikes dont seem to be the same hi-res versions that are shown in the nullunit screenshot Sad That happened to me when I tried downloading it to my computer at work. I just assumed that my graphics card couldn't handle it or something, cus I have the high res bikes on my computer at home. Not su...

OK. I see people talking about "open" players usually coming from "high rubber" servers. What is considered "high rubber" must be relative. Most high rubber servers I go to people play closed - and rightly so. I don't see the point of playing open in high rubber servers...

Why in the hell would you want to move south of the 49th?
Haha. Don't be so hard on yourself.

As for Squamish, I've spent some time there. I used to hitchhike down there from Whistler to get my fix of Tim Horton's.

Cool. I used to live in Whistler, BC back in 98. I could handle moving back out to BC. It's either Ottawa (only if I get a job working for the Liberals), Montreal (just a beautiful city), Vancouver/Victoria, or I stay put here in Halifax. Though I could be tempted to move south of the 49th to New En...

It's just carrying your normal budget of general trash-talking along with it. hehe But at least it's cheap! Who doesn't love freebies? :P And root down and I got to take our frustrations out on each other in gland last night so it's all good. 8) hehe Good times. :) Oh, and root down, I keep forgett...

Wow. I never heard so many people complain about having a distinct advantage over other players. :o I like playing open for no other reason than because I think it's more fun. I didn't really even play this game much before I discovered "open". But, again, it comes down to personal prefere...

There aren't little Jeff Bridges' in the bike models, so not nearly enough. Haha! Touché However, as I said in my post, I said it was the closest type of gameplay to the movie - not exactly. Armagetron is obviously not meant to be exactly like the movie as there are many servers for many diff...

Hey root down. :) "Open" and "closed" are strategies. Plain and simple. I agree completely with Dr. Joe Tron that people who whine and moan about people closing should be dealt with. There's no need. However, I've begun to notice that some "closed" players are just as b...

It certainly would. It really would be nice to have a server that is dedicated totally to playing open, or as stated above, having open "forced". It would save from having to apologize all the time for closing by accident, and having some people in the room closing and some playing open.

Thanks for the replies though.

as long as its not a GPU part of mother board for video then its for sure video card. but from what you said it sounds like video card

Yeah, my only other worry is that it could possibly be harddrive failure.

Thanks guys. I think my computer desk was smothering my computer, not allowing enough airflow for the computer. Ugh. :| The stupid thing is I knew this was a problem and didn't do anything about it. Oh well, live and learn. I'll have a new and better videocard in a day or so. :D Unless there's somet...

screen freeze: blew my video card

Hey. I was playing in Swampland last night and the screen froze, which has happened to me several times before, but this time my computer just shut down completely. Then I started to smell smoke. Not a good feeling to say the least. I took the computer to a service shop and the guy there told me it l...
