Ladle Countdown

Post by Light »

It looks like "whenisladle" is either set for the wrong time, not being updated, or something of the sort. So, I've made a new one. It automatically sets itself each month, so there's nothing to keep up on other than the time the tournament starts, which is set for 18:45 GMT for the moment.

Website down? :<

I tried but couldn't connect

On another note:
It would be neat if it adjusted itself for a visitor's timezone too

Too bad I wasn't able to see it.
Seems like a very useful idea.

If it was 1000 hours until ladle, it would be 1000 hours wherever you are.

Lol wups

If I was able to see the website, I probably wouldn't have thought about time zones.
(countdown...duh...I'm an idiot)
I guess I thought it would say something like: "Ladle will start at xx:xx:xx GMT".
(which is useful for people that wish to set an alarm or reminders, but don't want to do math)

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me ppotter.

..still wasn't able to get on lightron.org though :/
How many lights does it take to screw in a lightron.org?
The light is gone! Darkness shall consume us all!

Well, the reason for it being down for about a week was posted about and has been fixed.

Update: Fixed to automatically set the January competition to the second week.

Note: Even if I do something with times, it will be using your timezone offset. I already have that scripted in there, as Javascript uses the client's time. Assuming you, as most users, have an automatic date/time set, everything is alright. :)

Okay, fixed the second week in Jan thing for real this time. I didn't realize it was gonna skip the month when we passed the first week because it thought it was done. So .. that's all good and working.

Also added, it shows the date and time in your local timezone of the next ladle. This should make it easier than trying to convert it to every timezone.
