Why do so many Windows users have sooo many alias icons on their desktops? It seems to be the rule.
EDIT: Booyah! See picture in previous post for above reference.

Why would you have LOIC? I gotta give it to you though, you have the highest FS/OSS ratio ive seen in Faildows users.delinquent wrote:I know it's a mess but it's my haven. Also, I'm a skint **** and can't afford a new monitor.
The picture above still makes me laugh every day.
Thats the main difference between a good menu and a bad menu. Having everything sorted by category and being able to customise prevents you from doing that.Phytotron wrote:Why do so many Windows users have sooo many alias icons on their desktops? It seems to be the rule.

There's a difference between knowing your shit, and knowing you're shit. Grammar does matter.

Weird. In WinXP I always have my desktop icons turned off. I think they are annoying.nux wrote:Thats the main difference between a good menu and a bad menu. Delinquent... can I ship you a new monitor?
I'll post a picture of my desktop later, which is a notorious shortcut/alias mess as well.

Eeeh if you did I'd love you for eternity xD
Nux: There is a rough order to icons, I just put all the ones I use often on the desktop, I detest the windows start menu. Oh, and those two laptops you see? The one in the middle runs gentoo, the one to the right runs backtrack. I just like the way windows looks, to some degree. TBH, I do have dual-boot on the tower but one of the HDD's is ****** from the previous owner using bitlocker. Only works in windows now, and that's the drive with my music on it.

How do you get task bars on both screens?
Or is that not really dual screening?

It's an awful idea in Windows, it gives the option to show, but not extend the taskbar over more than one screen. I use this instead: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dualmonitortb/
