Can't get new armagetron to work

I played armagetron for a while and quit, but recently came back and started playing but when I go into the game I can't play, I can't talk to the other players, it just lets me watch. I downloaded the armagetron updater and downloaded armagetron again, but it still just makes me sit there and watch in the game, any suggestions at all would help, thanks.

Check to make sure you're not in spectator mode...

I don't know, but "sit there and watch in the game" describes spectator mode.

that is exactly what happened to a friend of mine, download came with strange settings, hope you have sort that out, amadeus?

well this is a problem i found myself upon before so i know all it is , is this setting that is called specture mode or something like that i can't exactly remember but its nothing to do with the program its just a setting its in one of the setting files just turn it off and you will be fine
