Have you over looked peeps who have descent hardware? not only do i have no hud on my FX5600 - but it keeps crashing every 30 seconds or so? and no linux version, hmmm, and as for open source, hows about sharing some??? so at least this is an open source project again, and not a popularity contest between children..... ffs tank, THIS IS NOT YOUR GAME...

Have you looked at http://guru3.sytes.net/armagetronad/ ? There is source available for download there.

1) There is a linux version.
2) There is source available.
3) It is GNU GPL.
4) It is registered on sourceforge. http://sf.net/projects/armagetronad
5) We have a staff of like 7 people or something.
6) Popularity contest? Where did that come from? This is about making the game better.
7) The source has always been available since the release, complying with the GNU GPL.
8.) I have decent hardware. It runs perfectly on my Radeon 9800pro. This is the first error of anykind we've heard of.

Please, fully explore the forums before you post stuff like this. Anyone here can tell you that source has always been available with the release.

Really, I do not think this is the form to take. I find these accusations and comments hurtful to me and to the rest of the staff of Armagetron Advanced.

As for your statement of no source code available, I did just realize that there is no src release on sourceforge. This will be rectified shortly. However, we've still had source out the whole time.

degobar, i have no idea who you are or where you came from or what your history with arma is, but:

1) what exactly is your native language? perhaps you could say it in spanish or french or something because it's really not clear as an attempt at english, IMO. or is this leet-speak or something? (i don't speak leet and i have no intention of learning)

2) how did you come to take your problems with arma-ad to tank at this particular forums? arma-ad has it's own sourceforge feedback area, period. and marrow is in charge.

3) tank has done a lot of nice things for this scene, and is my friend, and i take a lot of offense at you being rude and disrespectful to him without any kind of provocation. even if tank wasn't the target, i'd say you are way out of line and need to get a clue how to interact with other people.

4) like was said earlier, arma is an open-source project, not something you paid money for and have the right to be all bitchy about.

so all i can say is get a grip and try again. or just be quiet and take what's free to you. end of line.
