how about being able to set an ai lightcycle off on a fixed path?
You can set the cycle up with unique settings - wall_length, cycle_speed, it's own colour. then give it at least 4 coordinates (for a 4 axes map), and set it of on it's path, going round and round.
Would be helpful if this cycle could pass through arena walls too. You could set up a small opening guarded by these ai's. Or you could have 4 of them circling a fortress zone, liven things up a bit.
Probably work best with fortress/team games. I'd certainly have some fun with it.

If you're at it, what about trying to make it have a basic understanding about zones? At least have it avoid deathzones as if they were walls and prefer going towards win- and fortress zones in some fashion?the pig wrote:ed: Good idea. I haven't ventured into the AI (yet). Wingmen.

Why not work towards creating training bots for new players. Like for sumoing, or a defender bot, or an attacking bot, so that you can practice while offline of when there are no 'good' players online to play with. Or making a teaching server, where it shows you how to play certain game types with bots and they show the new players basic skills and techniques. This would help out the new players to the game greatly.

Deadly cylinder slowly rotating on itself with 4 openings holding a "re spawn all your teammates" zone in its core.pig wrote:Where would you like to see it go next?
A bit like this...

the other "regular" zone in the right corner is a jail. Enter at will, but the only way you can leave is with your feet first. Think of it as a sumo with an attitude.
