I admit defeat and will surely get more points next time.
The tension is enormous with all these skilled players around. I tried to play too fast so that my fingers cramped in the 2nd round. The amount of focus is unimaginable to do this. Highly recommend this event. Just don't be afraid to get eaten.

One question about the scoring system. I calculated this for the pre-eliminaries:
[...]
15th Nelg: 796 + 590 + 1015 = 2401
16th Force: 685 + 817 + 773 = 2275
17th ppotter: 865 + 833 + 460 = 2158
[...]

Why did ppotter went to the semi-finals instead of Force?

Also the Excel table showed this:
Average points per player for a 12-round-match...
...with 5 players: 852
...with 6 players: 860-875
...with 7 players: 909-913
...with 8 players: 927-932

Wouldn't it be fairer if one of the two players who folded would be replaced with someone from the 8 player game? To have things more even. I mean having the chance 70 points less by default is not nothing...

For the power players, it might not that big of a reason to complain. They should get enough points anyway to march through to the final.

However comparing the nine matches with each other...

7 Players (2nd round) with highscore 1586
8 Players (1st round) with highscore 1510
7 Players (2nd round) with highscore 1492
6 Players (1st round) with highscore 1488
8 Players (3rd round) with highscore 1441
6 Players (2nd round) with highscore 1400
7 Players (3rd round) with highscore 1372
6 Players (1st round) with highscore 1075
5 Players (3rd round) with highscore 1065

That's not enough data yet, but it looks like at least 200-400 points go missing for the round winner, when there are less players around.

Please judge. I just wanted to show that data.

I can't find magis post on the discord on this, but the scoring wasn't points based.
IIRC there were

20 points for first -
15 for second
12 for third
9 for forth
6 for fifth
4 for sixth
2 for seventh and
1 for eigth

otherwise you're correct, the matches with less than 8 players would be heavily disadvantaged whereas this way, they were actually slightly favoured.

this was the final scoring for the semi finals, with raph taking the 16th place which isn't covered in this screenshot.
