spring cleaning
spring cleaning
hey tank, you and the moderators really need to do some spring cleaning on this site
shoot Rudeboy has already spring cleaned twice in the past month or so for iceman's forum so that we don't get a lot of clutter
oh and by the way im not telling you to do this now, its just a suggestion for the future, since you are busy tank i would just suggest making some of your moderators help you out with this

Hehe.
I don't know what you mean exactly by spring cleaning, but it you mean removing old threads, I would have to disagree... but that's just me.

seriously, delete some of these works of written art? no way imo
i'm all for an organically evolving forum that is slightly chaotic and can bring you unexpected joy around any click/corner.
some of those half-barren threads still existing will become magnificent stalagmites over time (and to our defence we do split topics from time to time)
as i see it this forum is a beginning tome of treasure into which the adventurous traveller can read his way to armagetron enlightenment - anything of value comes at a price, the price here is the time sucked up by the maintenance imps as you suddenly realize you've spent five hours enjoying yourself reading and replying
must play Nethack soon, obviously suffers from withdrawal [sic]

*prey backs away from the spring cleaning topic*
wow if i knew you guys were that attached to your threads i would have never mentioned it
oh and maji you do realize that if you had gotten rid of me, you would have just kicked out your team captain
*prey contemplates the punishment he could give if he was so inclined*

we're only kidding prey

i'm an anglophile and most of what i read (books and magazines like wired, scientific american and the economist) is in english, and then there is movies and tv being mostly in english as well... i usually watch BBC World News, Discovery, or TCM (going to get NBC soon, yay! Jay Leno at last lol + maybe some late night baseball), most norwegian channels show a lot of american or english content as well and we don't voice-dub it. last but not least the net...
i lived in singapore two years, studing at a boarding school which might explain some of it but since early on i've been used to english as my father is a voracious reader of (mostly) english-language paperbacks.
i often think in english, however my pronounciation is terrible - you would all die laughing
nope i'm norwegian, a particularily bad mix as well lolMarrow wrote:Were you born in Norway, n54? Just curious? Your grasp of the English language amazes me. I didn't learn about the use of "[sic]" in the English language until after graduation from college.
I am assuming that you were born and raised in a country whose official language is English.
