it took me a little while to patch in the mainpage to the existent pages
please do check it out
and edit it as you see fit

one thing which seems to be lacking
a glossary
so i have included one
and before i add to it
i was wondering if anyone knew how to order the items alphabetically...?

btw
i think the whole thing could do with a substantial structural review
since there is a lot of duplication
and not enough cross-referencing
