I love to see Armagetron on Steam, now that there's hoards and hoards of free games released on Steam.
I think the game would be more accessible and help keep the longevity of the game/community.
On Steam
Re: On Steam
This has been brought up quite a few times, but always seems to be shot down. Maybe it'll be different this time, but here's a search of past ones.

Re: On Steam
What I right now find attractive about going to Steam is that it's a quite useful and well known auto-updater for Windows. I would not mind having a mechanism ready that can put new versions onto client computers reliably.
I would definitely not hope for an influx of new users from it, that requires a miracle or marketing work I'm personally unqualified for. New games quite simply drown on Steam nowadays.

Re: On Steam
Is there something like steam specifically for open-source games? If not, perhaps it would be an idea to create such a platform ourselves and get the game advertised there.
Re: On Steam
I don't mean to necro old posts, but I don't like creating duplicate posts.
I am still surprised no one has greenlight this on Steam.
First Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, then Warsow/Warfork, then Soldat, then CS2D, then many other indie/small games that were originally born before Steam,... eventually/finally end on Steam.
