Light Cycle Creation and Blender
Ii'd like to edit/make new bike models for armagetron, and i'd like to use blender3d to do it as blender is GNU GPL, have anybody tried this? (i know blender's interface is extremely non-intuitive - they say that the new version is better in this regard, haven't got the chance to test this myself)

Ok, what's the option called in the export menu? I just fired up Blender and looked to see, once again, and didn't find it. The better question is, why would you want to use 3DS Max over Blender?
Blender can do just about whatever 3DS can, it keeps getting better and better with each new version thanks to it's open source nature (the GUI is getting good now), and it's free.
My prediction, Blender > 3DS soon, if it already isn't.
Anyway, I'm not following this thread, has anyone found a plugin/script for Blender import/export of .ase, what about .mod? Link?
