Eurotrip 2012

Post by Olive »

Hey,

I'm on a eurotrip now through eastern-europe, visiting cities as vienna, krakow, bratislava etc. whatever crossess my path. I was hoping if any of u could support me with travelling trips as in recommended hostels and sightseeing spots I should not miss, or if u care for a lumch and drink I'm available too, whatever makes life spontaneous.

Cheers and enjoy the summer!

I suggest you go to Prague. When I visited Prague there was an agency for arranging shared accomodations where we got a flat right beneath the castle for 3 days that was quite a bargain. Worth a try.

Prague is beautiful, definately worth 2-3 day stay.

Continuing to Vienna, Boekarest and Krakow, should be a blast.

Well, if you count Spätzle as noodles... The Italian way is nice, too, though, citric veal cutlet with tagliatelle... mjam.

No. Noodles. Crisp apple strudels and schnitzel with noodles.

Or possibly schnitzel on roses and crisp eyelashes with noodles.

Allright, so after crossing Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Krakow I'm ended up in Wroclaw. I'm taking a night bus to Munich from here tonight, and will head to Cologne after a few days.

Sooooo, anyone fancy a party or beergarden visit?

Cologne: the cathedral of course, then maybe check the program of the lanxess arena, the ludwig museum, the walraff museum and the roman german museum are a must (and I don't say that because I happen to study archaeology ;) ).

Also, try to go to Bonn, there's the Haus der Geschichte and the Bundeskunsthalle which currently has an exhibition about the history of Pixar animation studios. When you're in Cologne, you just need the right tram for that, line 16 (or go by train, that's faster and nearly as expensive).

There's also the Cinedom (found no english version).

If you only want to get drunk, check out my neighbourh...er...the countless inns of the Zülpicher Straße.

And of course, the zoo, which has lots of species other zoos haven't (i was there last winter, didn't see the monkeys :( ).

Oh, and don't forget to get a currywurst at the Wiener Platz once in your life. There also is Harald Schmidt's studio (used to be the better Letterman) somewhere iirc.

and there's the chocolate museum (never was there though)
