~*Next Generation: a new fortress team

Post by Titanoboa »

I've had this idea for many months now, and it's finally starting to take shape! I'm really excited, haha.
Oh and a big thanks to SP for assisting me on this, knowing the risky nature of my ideas :D

It'll probably look like a farfetched idea for most of you, but I have faith in it.

about wrote:~*Next Generation is an independent fortress team, cooperating with SP with the focus on bringing newer fortress players up to a more advanced level of fortress. It is managed by Titanoboa who will also, of course, play with the team in wars and ladles. In addition we will use an experieced, solid defender in ladles to avoid unnecessary losses and make sure we get as much time on the grid as possible, in a competitive environment. This leaves up to 4 positions for new/unestablished players to play on.
The goal is to give these players a platform to quickly improve, and when good enough, move on to established teams and become an addition to the fortress community as a whole.

If you're a new fortress player and would like to take the step to the next level, you can make a new thread in this forum and explain why you would like to join! We don't ask very much of our applicants to ~*Next Generation; only that you think fortress is fun and that you think you have what it takes to be the Next Generation of fortress.
Our forum is going to be completely open for everyone to see, so you can follow our progress if you happen to be interested :P
If you want to, you can drop by and wish us luck! Or just post here :)

Sorry Gonzap, you don't have enough potential. I've only seen you play two or three times, but it's easy to tell that you're a hopeless case.

Thanks :moustache:

Har. A Fortress farm team. Should name them the Grid Hens.

(Who gets the reference?)

@Phytotron Toledo is a nice place to visit. Max Klinger was a true fan of their baseball team.

Nice to see you finally run with this, titanoboa. I think you will have a lot more fun doing this than stressing over winning another Ladle. This is much more of a challenge, and much more rewarding.

I believe it! I was more referring to the stress associated with achieving victory on a team that has already won a Ladle.

Titan, there is a myth out there that you cannot win a Ladle without at least one player that was around before Ladle 16 and on a team that won. I would love to see you disprove that.

Erm. IMO that isn't a myth, I have never heard that before, nor do I believe it. I don't think many have.
