Ladle 45 Voting Discussion

Post by PokeMaster »

Heyo everybody, it's that quarter of year again. I can't think of anything pressing that needs discussion, so that's up to you guys :D. As always, here are the dates that will be voted on:

Ladle Dates
May 1st or May 8th
June 5th or June 12th
July 3rd or July 10th

That will be pretty dependent on euro votes.
I'll vote on behalf of the LOL team shortly.

What about a consulate (is that correct) match? Is that still in the picture? Concord had previously posted how this would balance the brackets out more. I personally wouldn't want to spend more time playing after I had lost.

Should it be mandatory from losing semi-finalists, or optional? This is of course only if the match wanted.

You mean consolation match? They have those in baseball tourneys all the time!

As always? No thanks. Unless someone can link me where the last 3 ladle dates were voted on? It's the first Sunday of the month apart from January right, this seems unnecessary

Also It's been 3 ladles since Concords bracket conspiracy theory, is anyone still interested

We voted on the dates for Ladles 36-41, but we didn't hold a vote for Ladles 42-44.

Voting was suspended after talks broke down in Ladle 42. I still think it's a good format, but I also thought we would only use it on a case by case basis. I told myself I wasn't going to be involved with votes anymore, so you guys do what you want! :)

I don't think we need to vote for a date here either - first sunday of the months as always. The only thing I did not like last ladle was the huge delay of the final.

x2

What possible reason is there not to just say "have it on the first Sunday of each month"?

The only one i could see reason to change is the July one because of US independence day on the 4th, but historically it never changes.

Difference? None, both are based on one country's events (fact of the matter, british empire should be celebrating this, so its a **** load more people than USA so don't even argue that point).

First Sunday of the month please. I don't think we need to vote on a different date unless a vast majority can't participate.

The amount of Ladle players from the USA greatly outnumbers those from the “British Empire”. Anyways, the precedent has been to ignore any country-specific holidays.
