commands

When I try a command like /op or /promote it says Unknown chat command.
How come it doesn't recognize /op
When I type /admin local_user it says: RA: Command local user unknown.
It does this with several other commands. So if you could tell me how to fix it I would appreciate it.

it would help to tell us your OS and game verson.....is this your server? a LAN or local game? Are you logged in with an access_level?

Yes it's my server. I have windows vista 64 bit. I'm pretty sure I have the newest version of armagetron. I'm logged in with the admin_pass. I have it on the internet list. I connect through the lan to play it since I can't find it on the internet list, but other people can.

well first you should make a config file and save it as settings_custom and save it in your var folder.

You should include

and also make a user account.....you can use the one on here by added this to your config file.

I also saw a message in the command box that said but I don't know what it wants me to upgrade since I thought I had the newest one...:

Dont worry about that...it does that to me as well.....those commands do work, just ignore them on start up.

You need to upgrade to 2.8.3 so that you can use global_ID.....in other words, your commands wont work if you login through tron forums unless you upgrade to 2.8.3 server.

For my client I use beta. The server I just downloaded and it still is saying

Also for some reason it isn't using the settings now..I put the settings from the old file into this new one and it isn't working

I believe everything is fixed now, can use op and the other commands

Don't worry about that one, it comes from Trunk clients.
