Re: 0.2.8.3.1 released!
I have a non-bug report to make. A week ago the built-in motherboard based sound on my wife's computer died. Because we had bought it at SAM's club about 2 years ago, with their old extended warranty, they let us return the whole computer and monitor for full credit! So, for an extra $30 we got a brand new quad-core Intel PC with 8gb of ram, a 25" monitor, and a 1tb hard drive. I have seen reports of bugs or problems with windows 7 that have sounded like driver issues more than anything else. I have tested 0.2.8.3.1 pretty thoroughly and seen no problems! In fact, in some ways it seems to run better on Windows 7 than on the other Vista computer that we have in the house.

Can't reproduce. Details? Recording?
Re: 0.2.8.3.1 released!
It's probably more annoyance from my 16MB ATI Mobile Radieon. On my screen, the grid redraws itself to default if HIGH_RIM 0, but draws large again at HIGH_RIM 1.

Ah. Try turning off "Infinity" in the tweaks menu. Floor rendering changes from a finite rectangle to an infinite plane when the rim is low, and some cards/drivers can't handle that. They should, but someone didn't pay attention in projective geometry class.

Beautiful. Works perfect. No bug. Crappy video chipset as suspected. Thanks Z.Z-Man wrote:Ah. Try turning off "Infinity" in the tweaks menu.

I've never played in windowed mode, so I don't know if the following is normal or not. Should the game [pause/stop running/freeze] while another program is brought to the front, then get going again when it you select Arma again?
Re: 0.2.8.3.1 released!
Yes, and there is an option for it: System Setup → Display Settings → Screen Mode → Keep Window Active. IMO, it should default to On.

Ah, so that's what that means, heh. I always thought "active" might have meant the same or similar to "in front." Okeedoke.

I just got it and I think that it rocks!!!!
I love the Mate feature...
But sometimes it doesn't work... What is the random list of servers that it shows when none of your mates are online?
Is it the last few servers that they have been on?

Would be nifty to have a minimap in the 2.8> series.
