Where can I find information about \1, \2, \3, etc in english_base.txt, especially for player_leaving_game
(i.e. player_leaving_game \2 \3 \4 \5 \6 \7 \n, what are \2-\7? When I tried it, I could guess \2 was rounds played, but nothing more...)
\1, \2, \x in english_base.txt
Re: \1, \2, \x in english_base.txt
Either in the code or via inferring the meaning from their position in the original English text. If they don't appear in the English text, they're unused and will be filled with random junk left over from previous text outputs. The only valid slot for player_leaving_game, for example, is \1, the player name.
Re: \1, \2, \x in english_base.txt
ok, then perhaps I should state the ultimate goal of this..In certain servers, I've noticed when somebody leaves, it says, "XXX left the game, *after playing x rounds*", is that done by changing the source?

Probably, yeah. I don't recall anything counting played rounds for each player in vanilla sources.
