Descent Moviepack

Post by Lacrymosa »

No, this has nothing to do with the game(s) "Descent", altough they were fun to play. "Descent" was just one of the first words that came to my mind when I was thinking of a title.

This pack looks best with sky movement turned off and it contains the low polygon cycle from edd. You can of course replace that with another one, if you prefer a different model.

I have as yet to see a movie pack that I have wanted to try.....but decent was my fav game of that time!

Also...since i like to play with a black floor, this might be a nice alternative! I'll let you know what i think!

Booo! Descent was my favorite game before Arma. I got my hopes up.
I guess have to make a Descent moviepack now.

Oh yeah, this one looks awesome BTW! :)

EDIT: Wow, I really like the trail textures.

I too thought of the "Descent" game.

Awesome rim walls/floor/cieling.

I also thought of that game. No personal experience though; I came across it when it was listed as a game with 3D and 4D (???) mazes on Wikipedia. :(

I think the "4D" thing is a way to describe teleportation in the game. You could do some crazy stuff with it. I remember playing custom D2 (Descent 2) levels that were essentially hypercubes. You would go through a gateway and enter a space that was occupying the previous space. D2's level editor allowed people to make some very, very confusing environments.

Ah, yeah, I heard its engine worked like that. Like arbitrarily connected areas (cubes). Just wasn't sure if this topological abuse is what they meant with 4D.

Edit: probably not actually cubes, but you get what I mean.

Sine: Correction to what you thought....I said it was my fav game "back in the day". About 10, maybe 12 years ago!

I haven't played descent since 2001!
