steevo
REEVO
keeny
Bruck
Threeadaz
Grechy
These are the players that were on Nixda.net - the race server tonight.
I always liked race servers, I have a soft spot for them. So I joined.
I won two rounds, then;
"Poll: Kick Laugge submitted by Grechy"
I was doing nothing wrong, I hadn't even spoken yet.
Of course, at that time REEVO came in, and without even knowing it, he voted yes.
Then everyone else did.
I came back and asked why.
Why?
"cos your a ***"
EDIT: It seems the word they used is blanked out here. Even sadder.
This is just sad. Why, why do players like this do this? They kick anyone they can.
Maybe the thing thats even sadder, is that everyone else just votes for the poll for the hell of it.
If you see any of these players, carry on my disgust.
Sad...
noobs hate to lose loor. take solace in core dumping them every time you have the chance.
personally, i find the players who vote 'yes' without even knowing why they're voting the most brain dead. at least the person responsible for the poll has decided to poll you because they know they can't beat you. the others are complete intelligence vacuums.

True that. I've never had to kick anyone in "Advanced Racing". The people who spam and dirty up the place with their filthy mouths get bored really fast when no one reacts. Maybe you should stop playing that Nixda "drag race" and move on to something a little more challenging.epsy wrote:Solution: disable kick polls in race. There's no reason one would kick another in a race server, simply.

I'll keep my eye out for those players, but honestly, I've never seen those names before. Noobs.
Drag race? What do you mean?sinewav wrote:Maybe you should stop playing that Nixda "drag race" and move on to something a little more challenging.

I haven't tried your race server yet, sinewav, but I very much like your cockpit view only server. It's really amazing and the only one of its kind online atm.
Loor, I'll post about this matter and especially the screennames you mentioned at the mod section of the nixda.net forum so admins are informed and aware of those hooligans. Please, if you have problems again, post about it, here or at nixda.net as you like.

I hope I didn't upset you with that comment. Now that I read it again, it's kind of insensitive. Sorry.saragei wrote:Drag race? What do you mean?![]()

Actually, Nixda racing inspired "Advanced Racing". One day, I was feeling paricularly frustrated with Arma and wanted something different. So, I decided to try out Nixda racing. While playing the maps, I started to think about how it compared to other racing games I've played (one of my favorite was Star Wars Pod-racing).
The Nixda maps are (for the most part) totally straight with "random" obstacles between the starting line and winzone. Each round is over in 10 - 15 seconds. The straight, quick nature of the maps are why I compare it to a drag race. Well, after several rounds of play, I decided to switch to cockpit mode and race that way. It was then I realized racing in Arma could be much more involved and more engaging. I was inspired, and immediately started work on Advanced Racing.
If I was going to make a suggestion for Nixda, it would to capitalize on my ideas that didn't make it into Advanced Racing. The first was to use CYCLE_ACCEL_RIM and design a course based on objects that make you speed up. The second was to fix the cycle speed and make the brake a limited, but powerful boost that would recharge after a time. The combination of these two gameplay elements could lead to some exciting racing! I still fantasize about designing a server like this (Advanced Racing II?), but I don't have time right now.
