Fortress Café Server Stats
Moderator: Z-Man
I was bored so I did a little statistic
By ranking players by the ratio between won rounds and won matches we get something interesting (imho atleast):
6.382 1200
6.551 Lackadaisical
6.651 Seraph
6.828 MaZuffeR
6.835 Luzifer
6.886 Vanhayes
6.896 PsYkO
7.017 G5
7.037 wrtlprnft
7.120 newbie
7.161 Plato
7.243 Webgamer
7.279 madmax
7.291 Thokul
7.317 Zop
7.419 SageLord (with and without clantags added together)
7.481 Pavelo
7.481 belenus
7.499 ~ X ~
7.526 Rico
7.549 Goody (with and without clantag added together)
I didn't calculate this for everyone so someone might be (probably is) missing from the list.
This is not an accurate ranking for how good a player is, because:
1. Changing team to the losing one gives you a higher ratio (e.g. Kamakazi's ratio is 9.998)
2. Matches on a full server take less rounds than on an almost empty one (e.g. P4's ratio is 9.86)
3. Being placed on the better team gives you lower ratio (this shouldn't matter after a few 100 matches, unless the person is lame and switching to the winning team)

Is there any chance we're gonna see a CTWF-like ladder on cafe?

The problem is that the CTWF ladder requires a hacked version of arma.
I'd be happy to run one that only includes the required hacks (ie edlog.txt), but I don't want to run the whole hacked thing and I'm too lazy to sift through the huge CT patch to strip it of everything i don't need…

Agreed. I don't know what the added stuff is, but if it is stuff some ladder needs, it belongs into ladderlog.wrtlprnft wrote:Actually it might be best to add the needed log entries to ladderlog (not the GAME_TIME spamming stuff, though) and commit that to 0.2.8
I don't think so, but you're right. I would have started a release process thread some weeks back, but I did not want it to look like a complete slap into the face for luke with his 3.1 proposalwrtlprnft wrote:Did I already mention that 0.2.8.3 is long overdue?
GAME_TIME is one of the best additions to the log.
It makes time based scripting support so simple for a learning programmer like me
Admittedly it does generate huge log files. Clear it down reguarly?
perhaps add it as a setting? default off GAME_TIME_LOG 0
if you're going down the route of creating a decent ladder for cafe, how about adding some more of voodoo's hacks?
PLAYER_POSITION
which gives the position of each player in relation to the zones, ie ATTACKING, MIDFIELD, DEFENDING
It doesn't work too well on most of ctwf as the maps are so different, but it would work a treat on cafe. Showing players prefered positions.
Also
BASEZONE_CONQUERER 2 eddie 1.2.3.4
So attackers can be rewarded as much as defenders.

Maybe directly make the interval between GAME_TIME log lines configurable.ed wrote:GAME_TIME is one of the best additions to the log.

It's sort of specific, and luke will start shouting at me for adding code that will be obsolete with zonesv2…[quote}AlsoPLAYER_POSITION
