I've been playing around with the latest CVS version and I'm not liking the fact that _every_ turn decreases rubber (maybe this is still a work in progress). :) If you are just zig-zagging out in the open, jousting, mazing, etc. after a couple of turns your rubber is practically gone and if you touch a wall you go boom. I can see this is useful for servers that want to limit/disable 180s, but I think that the rubber shouldn't decrease if you are not turning against a wall.

Did you get the version from CVS or as a fixed installation here? I ask because the rubber behaviour you describe should indeed not be the default, but somehow was in the first public beta. Of course, that means they were also in CVS sometime, but the default settings should now be unchanged from the previous behavior again.
