Dammit tank, why can't we ignore threads. Heh. Or mark them as read without having to actually read them.
Two classic BBS functions I don't understand why we don't have here, and it may not be Tank's fault.
1. The ability to see all unread posts. (The damn thing marks them read, why can't it just do a simple query for them?)
2. The ability to mark posts read without having to read them.
These are problems that were solved in the goddamn 70s. Or at least the early 80s. When programming was a hell of a lot harder than PHP Hypertext Processing.

Energy can be seen as a dimension but when you do express a system with energy as a dimension (as opposed to as a result), other dimensions (space or time) will fold (i.e: be converted)
Time is *not* a construct of our perception. Sorry. This was a suggestion made in the previous millenium, but time has been proven to exist and it is interwoven with space (does the theory of general relativity ring a bell?)
If time were a construct of our imagination, then so would space.

3D
Reality is perception; therefore I believe this to be a 3d game. Game play would be much different if the view was 2D (especially if it was a side scroller, which would be really hard to make work). With enough skill and experience you can make moves based on the idea that your opponent cannot see in all directions at once, and attempt to capture them with that knowledge.
which goes to prove this discussion is bordering on anal as on a 3d screen every 2d game would be 3d! *mindfuck complete*SuPeRTaRD wrote:afaik string theory is pretty much accepted as fact nowadays
there are some new 3d lcd monitors that project 2diff images one to each eyeball
blah blah
i agree with gene

Points and lines may exist in 0D (or rather a single point in that case) and 1D, respectively, but more is always possible. In Armagetron everything happens on a plane which is effectively utilized, so definitely 2D. I'd say the graphics are 3D, but according to you they're probably 2D since OpenGL can only draw 'flat' surfaces (which are in turn constructed from points/line segments!). Also, in the end we're merely seeing a projection into 3D on a 2D surface.
