Well, first disable it to see if it is indeed the problem:

We'll see how you can unblock only Armagetron and still keep the spyware from phoning home later, one step at a time.

Are you using Windows XP? Then there may be another firewall active, the one that comes with that OS. In that case, here's how to disable it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283673
Also, what is your current IP address? You can find out on www.whatismyip.com . With it, we can scan the master logs to see whether packets to or from the master get discarded.

That IP does not show in my logs, that would mean outgoing packets are already blocked. Unfortunately, my master was down from about 3 hours before this post to half an hour before this post, so any connection attempts at that time would have been invisible; if your last attempt was in this time window, please try again.
So, Armagetron internet games were working once, then you installed and uninstalled Norton, and now things don't work anymore? And really just Norton? If so, I suggest you ask the Norton guys, they may know what could have happened. My completely uneducated guess at this point then would be that the uninstallation of Norton, even if it was just the antivirus package, enabled the XP internal firewall, which is now blocking you. I already gave the link that tells you how to disable it.
What is your network setup, by the way? A lone PC connected to the internet over a modem/cable/DSL link? Or a network of multiple machines?

Yes, it's clear that disabling the firewall can not be a permanent solution. We just want to do it to test whether the firewall is the problem or not, you should reenable it as soon as you can. You should know, however, that a personal firewall can only protect you against part of the dangers from the network.
Could you try to explain in more detail what you're doing? "Still doesn't work" is not really a useful information if you didn't change a thing.
Also, what about Norton? Did the problems with Armagetron start when you uninstalled it?
