Team Sumo Tournament 2 - TST 2

Post by DDMJ »

Hello everyone!

I bring you the 2nd version of the TST.

I got tons of positive feedback from the last one, so I decided to make a 2nd one :P.

Everything is the same as the last one.

Signups are not open yet.

I will post in this thread again when they do open.

In the meantime, please take a minute to glance over what I've done so far.

I created a special section for the TST on my site.

There is a TST mainpage that explains a little about the TST, as well as links to TST 1 & TST 2.

The link to TST 1 is only usefull if you want to see the brackets and read up on the past TST.

The TST 2 page has everything you need to know, including brackets, & links to the forums (and different sections of the forums as well).

Go ahead and check it out. Signups will open just after the Ladle.

You know the url ;)

Enjoy :D,

---Durka

Could you rewrite that in a color people can read? I've got no idea what you're advertising because you put light blue on a light blue background. Sorry.

Lol sorry Luci. I made a generic one that I posted on like 6 forums. I didn't pay attention to the colors. I've only had to change the colors on 2 forums now :P.

A rule that tends to work everywhere is to use the default colors. It also works for each style and the color blind, and it won't annoy those who dislike silly colors (perhaps it was your intention to keep them away from TST, I don't know).

Yeah, and just use bold/italic/underline and/or text sizes to create emphasis.

Also, for advertising purposes, you should not have a bunch of content that distracts from a reader, like a signature that's twice as long as the average post here. Who scrolls up past Durka's signature, anyway? I don't, usually...

I'll be partially away on that day, I don't know whether I'll be in reach of a ssh connection. Who of my fellow developers wants to be remote admin for the the event? I'd also be fine to let Durka assign one if you don't have time or don't want to. It's a relatively easy job, compared to the Ladle stuff; the teams are full anyway, so there can't be renegade joins, all you have to do is kick the occasional obnoxious spectator and officially begin the match when everyone is ready (last time, Durka made an inspection round). If you're feeling fancy, keep the score displayed in ROUND_CENTER_MESSAGE.

I will actually not be playing in Wild West this time. I will most likely be playing in either Z-Man's or Wrtl's server. If wrtl signs up, I'll let him be the mod there. Manta will moderate °°ps server. I can take yours Z & I'll give Genki or Legit (both with previous server admin experience) the pass for Wild West. Preferably, I would actually give Wargasm the password depending on if he knows wtf to do.

If 2020 still wants to I'll play again with him. I could play/moderate on z-man's then :)

Well, now the TST 2 seems pointless to play since we already know who's going to win: madmax & lackadaisical (I can't believe they're partners :o).
