Just thought there should be a topic like this one...
Just started it because I'm going to party my ass of, and get drunk
But first there will be a giant fireworks display.
Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck in 2007.
PS. It smells like black powder here... From dawn on there have been explosions and stuff.. So many fireworks

Yeah, first the pyrotechnics, then the drugs. That's the sensible order of things
Happy 2007.

Happy new year in about 3:22 everyone near me! And everyone else at some other time.
My screen has reflected a perceptible amount of light coming from fireworks while I was typing this message.

Very shortly after one of mine (an old one with a disk that's tiny by today's standards) ran out of space. Oops.
We're also running out of fresh air. I.e. the fireworks are heavy polluters.

That's why you go out shortly before new years, fire your fireworks, then retreat to an escape balcony on the tenth floor until you're freezing, then go back inside, with the windows closed all the time
It's been fun, anyways. Happy new year everyone!

Highlight: a car having to back up for a minute due to fireworks on the street.
I'm thinking of how to photograph the whole in an interesting way. Any thoughts on extremely long exposures taken from outside populated areas? Or using a fisheye on a roof? Not that I have any of the equipment.

Raining all the time over here, but it dried up at about 2 am..
Heavy pollution alright, we had a cars alarm go off by firing 4 avalanche rockets at the same time (those things they used to provoke controlled avalanches in the mountains)
Anyway, I got sick and went to ben at 5 am

Ok, to celebrate the new year, everybody tell us how long you've been here. But not in numbers, state it in relation to something that has happened here on the forums. We can look up numbers if we really want to know.
I've been here since before email notification worked.
