I like that last one, now just add a good kill behind it, with a gridded floor. :)

Other than the placement and/or color of the word 'Artemis' I love the last one. But I also loved the first, so... Damnit, we need more opinions on this.
Speak up people! Tell us what you think.

btw I don't think she looks smurfy at all, it kind of looks like a blue tinged stone color. Very nice. :D :D :D

I like lucifer's idea of sticking a grid into your last one... Maybe have the statue with a wall coming out of it? That's just getting silly... But then maybe a cycle on the grid?

A grid shouldn't be too difficult... but for the cycle the angle and shading (possibly) must be sane.

Could try to setup the situation in a game, grab a screenshot, and then add the parts of the screenshot to the picture.

Heh, me too. :) In that case, spectator mode is your friend. You could spend a few minutes figuring out camera controls, then start a recording. When you go back through the recording for the kill you want to grab a shot of, you can pause the game, setup your camera, then restart and grab the screenshot.

While it might sound like a lot of work, you'd learn how to do it in the future for any more such work. :) You could be our Screenshot Composition Expert.

Well, since i can't photoshop or do anything with pictures, I'd like to make some comment, share my ideas.

Since it'll be called Artemis, a Greek God (Later taken over by the Romans under the name of Diana) it shouldn't be so hightech looking i think.

In my opinion the lightcycle could look some more like a chariot or something and the tail look like a stone wall. The the outside rims could be some sort of stadium (eg. the inner look of the colloseum). This way you get the meaning of the version's name into the game itself.

But of course, this is all my opinion. The flashscreens submitted for now are nice, i like tree's blue one the best.

Heh, we should have chosen obsoleted video game consoles as codenames :)

Which blue one? There's half a dozen.

Oh, come on. Continuing a discussion from a different thread, I ask "Why do we need future proofing code?"

Answer: 'tis demanded by the gods, it is!

sabarai, then we'd have to consistently use models/textures like that from now on - just about all future code names are gods, mostly antique afaik.

That's true... I'll keep working on ideas :P

Z-Man, this is the blue one

EDIT:

Since Artemis is the Goddess of Hunt, you could make a nice huting theme on the outter rims :P But keep the rest just how it is now.

This way, every version will be recognisable and have it's own signature

Or the idea stinks :P

No dead or about-to-be-killed animals, please.

When I made screenshots for my moviepack, I'd go into a local game, set the size of the arena I wanted, then change up the settings so the cycle was barely creeping, didn't accelerate, and had obscene amounts of rubber (in case I had to leave it on a wall for longer than I meant to while positioning the camera). I'd turn off the HUD, start a new round, then use the free cam to position it where I wanted (this is where those manual controls come in handy). Then I'd drive my cycle around in front of this now static camera view.
