Tank: I'd go with either of the following:
- Some kind of bullet shaped subway (as a museum peice),
- A construction of the capsule for "A trip to the moon" in a Jules Verne museum.

Yeah, I've very much intregued by the fact that the "outside" (grey band) is round.

But I think my girl-friend has a much better answer:
- "The picture was taken on platform 9 3/4."

The wooden floor, and what looks to be one weird looking hinge to the door behind him are what baffles me. I also noticed the "Do not enter" sign hanging on the bar behind him.
But to be fair, the last time I was in London I was 2-3, so I know nothing.

Edit: Noticed the question above, the circle with the line through it means "Do Not Enter". They use it on road signs.

Also, I now think it looks like some sort of weird underground bunker.

I don't remember seeing a museum yet that allowed taking photoes.
