Upgrading to phpBB3

What do you want to see here? Some more categories, forums, and mods? Hmm...

The server/player list on the forum main page is back. It looks like you need to encode the text in UTF-8. You can use iconv to do it.

I don't know what's going on there. It's using utf-8 afaik. Worked on the old forum correctly.

That's because the old forums's charset was ISO-8859-1, and now it is UTF-8. The data was in the correct encoding before, but not now.

Does it show correctly now? Reviewing the code just now I noticed a work around for using php4 which no longer applies, and has been replaced with the correct php5.

The PM's are aligned wrong. I think it's something with the 2 post reply buttons.

On the home page, the colour markers showing which Forums contain new post don't seem to be changing.
They're now constantly red (save the few that haven't had new posts since the upgrade)

I didn't go back more than 2-3 pages to see if this was pointed out already or not. Maybe this is just me?

Same here, but I thought it was just me :) I'm using Firefox 3.0.9 at the moment, will check it with Konqueror when I use my laptop.

That's probably because it doesn't keep track which posts are new (like phpbb2), but which posts are unread. So until you read every new post since the upgrade they stay red. You could also just press the "Mark all forums read" link.

Is it sad that I can't seem to find this button?

EDIT: Nevermind. It was sad, but I found it eventually.

When I reply to some post the BBC code is off. I never noticed this happening before. Is it intentional?

No, it's upgrade madness. Point out affected forums.
