sorry for delay
i kinda hoped that u realised one thing i have against that team thing
cant remember was it marrow or maji, but someone warned to the problem before it occured, and that is you just cant keep teams together, and if we continue to pursuit that, those events will allways stay informal one time thing. nothing wrong with that, and it is fun, but we can always do that on any server with team up option. on the other hand single player torney WOULD make you able to play in time of your conveniance, without submiting to anybodys will or enforcing yours to anyone. and if you chose not to show, noone else is damaged by that. perhaps one day, when we all turn pro, teams will be more motivated to stick together, he?
and there are clans and clan wars, so theres no lack of group events.
have you saw that file i atached earlier, nic?
here is what i think: we chose weekend, lets say first weekend of september (is it labour day or something?), and time of first match start, i think maybe friday 15 00 EST, that would give us best coverage for americas, where presumably most of players are from, and still wont be to late for europeans. first rond lasts till saturday 17 00 EST, alowing anyone to chose his/hers most convenient time. of course some adjustmenst in group number/ size might be made after we have all entrys. whole thing should be over by sunday 19 00 EST at the latest, which is not so bad for the global championship.
and because all registered players have same participation rights, and succes is depending only on their own abilitys we can one day, if it lives on name it official arma championship, which could never work with teams.
anyhow when i free myself of some other stuff, ill try do that page thing with some polls aded, including poll teams vs singles.
this tread is already to long and hard to follow, we need to have it clear and concised somewhere. only trouble is i dont know first thing about web design

in my wiew thats a minus, why should my
incompentence drag down someone else?

no argument there ; so two minuses, and the most important one : it is waaaaaaaaaaay harder to coordinate, and hardly can be repeated in same teams.

some day, when we turn pro,yes. but on what sport does tron reminds you; for me its fencing ( at least on speedblast ) and that is very singles sport, our results can be added, but no real beneffit, teammate is just another obsticle you must avoid.
sorry if i hurt your litlle feelings, maybe i spend to much time there. with hounorable exeptions of dosen or so players, every one runs away at first site of orange in speedblast, so i ussually play there one on one with someone, dus my vision of game might be very different from yours.

no, i dont have a chance against you in slow game, and one thing that would make me realy happy is to see it work, and with lots of ppl in, both in play and organisation of it. and whoever wins it will not be happier than me. now lets both shutup and hear some others, i wont even defend singles idea, i promise.
