How dumb are you? Seriously .. It's obviously a slingshot with an extended handle. I'll hold this belief to the grave!ConVicT wrote:Or is it a tool used for finding water (dowsing)?

Re: Moderator Abuse...again
I can see how you would think that, but you're wrong... So wrong.
Just look at the Y shaped frame, it wouldn't have the strength to support slinging anything. It couldn't even sling your bs perception of what it really is!!

Re: Moderator Abuse...again
I have been following this and the relevant threads while on vacation from Cleveland, Ohio in Florida. I didn't want to bother trying to post from my phone. A post of any length is just too annoying.
I find it interesting that Z-man didn't ban Durf after what was a clear threat to hack the forums in some way if Z-man did not meet Durf's standards of Moderator behavior. The public exposure of these PM's makes it absolutely clear the abuse that the moderators have tolerated. Personally, if somebody issued that type of threat to me, I likely would have immediately publicly exposed the threat. Warned the person publicly that a ban would be forthcoming with any further bad behavior. Likely Durf's response to that would have resulted in a ban and the resulting war.
That Z-man or others have not taken that course of action shows the kind of restraint that may be wisest for our unique community. Durf could have been banned long ago, for a much longer period of time.
I don't understand why Durf or anyone thinks that they need the dev's permission to contribute to the game. Create your own branch on Launchpad or anywhere, improve things. If you want your changes to be included in the main game code, ask for a review of your code and ideas, and do it on Launchpad. It is an Open Source game, so yes, you can do what you want. There is a long history of the devs incorporating other peoples code and/or ideas. Sometimes to try to keep the code from turning into a worse mess than it is, stuff just can't be hacked into the mainline code to prevent future bugs.
