lol!
The universe's birthday is not a specific day in our calender, because a year for the universe is A LOT longer than an earth year...

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
The universe's age is estimated at 13-14 billion years. That's earth years, not some "universe's own years" (I don't even know what the hell you think you're talking about there). Its birthday was the so-called "Big Bang," and that's the only one it has had or will have (unless one supports the "Big Bounce" cyclic model or oscillatory universe proposal).
Now that the big mystery (har) of who's that in my avatar has been solved, someone should identify the original piece from which it was taken. Bonus points if you get the signature.

He was not asking for the age, he was asking the date of the universes birthday...
"When was universe's birthday?" was what he said, not how long it has been here...

Wait a second, was I right the first guess??? I still am not sure!!! (for bonus points, I will take a guess and say it Generation X era, if it's Billy Idol. If it's Bowie, it Suffragette City.)

Ok, but why did I add this signature? I was like 15 and thought I was smart? What a brat.

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
I hope Word and Lucifer are joking. And I want the actual piece, the actual video/film, not the "era."

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
I remember seeing him do that during his 50th birthday concert at MSG in 97, perhaps during Seven Years in Tibet. I don't want to go hunting for the exact clip, though

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
oh, Bowie was right

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
ok one more question septembern:
Who is the person in Phytotron's avatar animation, and from what movie/video/clip is it taken?

Re: Ask Septembern Anything!
Alright, well, Apparition got close enough. It was actually during the song "Telling Lies." Here it be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_a5BPSAxQk
Ideally, I would have liked to have used the entire sequence from 3:02-3:06 with just some channel mixing to get a red-to-yellow overall hue, but it would have been too large. As it is, I had to take a shorter section, cut out every other frame, and reduce it to two colors. Still kinda neat looking, though, I think. I like the three distinct faces. And he's single-binding, heh.
Bonus points still available for the signature.
