My master's log doesn't show any server with that IP registering itself, only regular client logins, the last one being
Code: Select all
[2007/02/26 22:10:15] [1] Received login from 200.88.173.182:16069 via socket *.*.*.*:4533.There's no place like ::1

Hosting a game automatically opens the port. Your firewalls should have popped up a question whether you want to allow it, and you should have answered "yes" to that. Since you are connected to the internet directly (not over a router), nothing else should be required.
I can't custom connect to that IP either. My master log also shows you logging in, but apparently it only receives the login package, and nothing else. That's partly good news
It means that you can send packages just fine, and the receiving is the problem.
So back to the firewalls
Can you find the configuration pages for your firewalls regarding incoming packets and post screenshots of them?
I'd like to note that despite the progress this test gave us, a reinstallation of Windows will get you to play Tron faster again than continued tests and debugging, and there still is the problem of potential stealthy worms.

Since you can't find any server on the internet server list, it's not surprising you can't find your own. And with just a modem, chances are you don't have a LAN at all to browse. Or is there another PC in the network you haven't told us about? Try custom connecting to the IP
127.0.0.1
and port
4534
when your dedicated server is running.

Still the same:
What's that Norton icon doing in that last screenshot? Didn't you say you uninstalled it?z-man wrote:Can you find the configuration pages for your firewalls regarding incoming packets and post screenshots of them?
