can you solve this like mature people and just forget about it, instead of taking it personally and wasting everyone's time?

The logs problem or the 'badmin' problem? If it is the logs problem then I can contact compguy on msn and talk about it there.

I assume the right way for me to have dealt with this would've been 1.let SP play w/ zap on their team and 2.disqualify both GM and SP after the tourney (since 1 player would've played on both these teams), instead of just suspending zap before he had the chance to play for SP like I did.

The silencing was caused by Gonzap slowing down the progress of the tourney: it was the last match to start iirc and all other participants waited for that match to start+finish. I don't remember what he said word by word

I don't understand where the problem is zap, how is it power abuse if I, as a tourney admin, silence a spectator?
Or is there another problem?

Oh and I'd like to thank everyone who participated for your patience and cooperative nature. There was really only 1 troublemaker in this tourney, which I'm quite amazed by. It was a fun tourney, and very stressful (not necessarily the bad kind) as admin ... Although I prolly won't do it again, at least not if there's inevitible drama like this after each and every tourney nowadays.

I would like to point out to everybody involved something real simple. This was Crosseyed and Painless Tournament 2. It is a totally new tourney! I think some things happened in the last 2 that should help serve as a learning experience for all involved!
Let's all just chill.
I just took about 35 minutes of my time looking through the console log files. For the record, in all my C&P servers, I have set ACCESS_LEVEL_SPY 0, so I can see all chat, private and public in my servers. I also see IP addresses, etc.

There is absolutely no evidence that I see of any major wrongdoing!

IMHO, titan, as an admin shouldn't have played at all. I don't see evidence of Gonzap tk'ing people, etc.

There of course is a caveat that I must say about all this about myself here. As most of you know, I am currently a CTT (Crazy Tronner Trainee). So, some of you may just accuse me of hiding Gonzap's guilt so I get into the clan. To head off that right now, I would be willing to turn my unsanitized log files over to a neutral third party, if the community can find a suitable volunteer.

As a final parting shot here, I would like to point out something else. I really feel that all players playing in any Armagetron Tournament should be authenticated, period. I plan to start a discussion about this in every tournament that I donate servers, at the appropriate time. It really is time we all get with the program and require tournament participants to Authenticate!

You are not qualified on several counts.

1. You played in the tournament.

2. On a personal level, I would only trust the raw files with about 10-15 people in this game, and honestly, you are not on the list, no offence.

3. You have become a stakeholder in this fight. Therefore you are NOT neutral.

4. I have doubts about your experience reading log files.

Here is a short list of people i would trust in this scenario.

Kyle, Z-man, epsy, and DLH. Note, each of these people could quickly write a script if needed.

I completely understand..the third party was more of a joke ^^
I'm sure I could talk epsy into this.
similar to what compguygene wrote:should learn bash scripting
Maybe this link would help people like me learn. http://tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/index.html

Yes. But how to make that procedure meaningful when there is no controls over the most popular white-list (this forum)? Anyone can make a disposable account. The direction we are heading is tournament-specific white-lists, which is fine aside from the fact they need to be managed by someone - but who?

I'm not complaining cause i got suspended, it was ok, i'm complaining about the unnecessary silencing. Between the suspension and the silencing there were 5 seconds. And the only thing i said was something like "come on bro, i just played 1 round". Then i got the silence. No reasons, abusing powers.

I really would like some1 to post logs to close some dirty mouths here.

Whatever, I think you deserved the silence, why? You tried playing for TWO teams, would you ever consider doing this in the ladle? No! So what makes it okay in a different tournament... on top of that, the tournament was still going on and an admin has to deal with your "o plz can i pley wah wah wah", annoying. You deserved the silence, and I'm dissapointed to see that compguygene is biased now that he's CTT.

Well it wasn't the chat logs I was looking for...I wanted the score logs :P
Maybe for next tourney logs should be made where IPs are not shown!

You keep saying you played one round. I was there, you played at least half a match before you were kicked off the team for an actual member.

You have brought this up before, and I have been giving this a lot of thought. I think that the ideal way would be for Tank and the current Dev team to setup a second authority and/or forum just for tournaments. Ideally it would be managed by the Evil Triumvirate.
