</3 you don't know me -.-
Tsss lit who else then? Durka definitly is one of the best. Who else do you think? You? Arrogant, used to it. -.-
Shut it chocolatebreadboy, I wasn't even talking to you.

I don't think theres a #1 fort player, someone who's THE BEST. I base this on, nobody is ever 100% consistent, especially in every position. People are improving every day, there is no 'best', there is 'a list of the best', yes. Xyron and Durka would definitely be on it, I just don't think one of them is #1.

If I think I'm the best? Definitely better than you, but that doesn't say anything.

Moving on..

on the contrary, the whole POINT of the server even being there is to file out the best of the best. auth to play. 8v8 max. it would work.

vote could also work... rules to the voting, nominate a person(you can not nominate yourself), the nominations lasts a week, and then a vote takes place for two weeks. but see one problem with that is people will get nominated who arnt active or MIA...for instace from word's list...Hoop.

How about

1. Nominees lists
2. Nominee accept/decline
3. Vote

yes, that's what i was trying to start.

first we should just collect names and make sure who likes to take part, not even discuss (since both teams will turn out to be very equal in skill).

How about this, lets make this the best of USA and the best of EURO and have them vs each other

set up a 1v1 fort bracket.

USA vs USA for the 6 or 8 spots that are open for USA Fort Team

EURO vs EURO for the 6 or 8 spots that are open for the EURO Fort Team

1 match , 10 rounds , one player defends(even/odd rounds) one player attacks(even/odd rounds)

so if player A defends on round 1 he or she will defend on odds and if player B attacks round 1 then he or she will defend even rounds.

this tournament shouldn't take longer then ladle(heck maybe shorter)

One day USA will do the 1v1 bracket in USA times, and then the next day EURO can do their bracket on their time, that way everyone can get a chance to try out.

Now you're probably thinking how are we going to find the 6-8 ppl out of 1 bracket tournament, easy when it gets down to 1v1-1v1-1v1-1v1 they all have made it to the TEAM. Now we'll continue the bracket til its 1v1 and they will fight for the "captain position"

Now if we decide to do a 6v6 we'll wait til it gets down to 1v1-1v1-1v1-1v1 NOW here were it gets tricky. we'll go ahead and play out this bracket.(the 1v1-1v1-1v1-1v1) and then we'll compare dump points, the top 6 get in, and if theres any tie, they have to do a 5 round knock out.

after the 6 get in, these guys/gals will be your 6 person fort team! after this the bracket is going to be 1v1-1v1-1v1
after that bracket there should now be 3 players, 1v1v1 Okay now this is going to be fun cause they can either A)agree out of the 3 whos better captain B) decide which two should 1v1 C) they all 1v1 each other i.e(player 1 vs player 2) after that (player 2 vs player 3) after that (player 1 vs player 3)
these matches will be 5 rounds long, the player that wins both his/her match up wins.

Player 1 beats player 2 =player 1(1)
player 2 beats player 3 =player 2(1)
player 1 beats player 3 =player 1(2)<captain.

THIS way is the best to make a USA or EURO team so when it comes to USA VS EURO it will be an epic match of the selection of the "best"

Typical Word to announce stuff before they're finished.

Ok, I'll let you guys finish it then.

What we did last time was we got a trusted and skilled captain from both eu and us and had them choose the best players from their respective continents. Since statistics are unreliable and voting is too much of a hassle, maybe we could try this approach?

I think that last time the fortress community was a bit smaller. Perhaps this time the "nomination approach" might be best.

This went downhill quickly... If this is going to happen, we need to get organized and set some rules.

First of all, is this going to be a community-driven tourney like the Ladle or is this going to be set up by Word?

PS - voting is stupid.
