This was a small issue in INW's server: CT (actually, one non-captain player) was complaining that 2 \\mym players should suicide or be killed. What do you think? Should the player imbalance be restored? If the server you're playing in crashes, then an admin will reset the scores to what they were before the server crashed. The player imbalance, such as 6 players vs 4 players, is not necessary to restore. The round state when the server crashed can not be recreated exactly—restoring the scores is sufficient.

Re: Ladle 49
The server entered turtle mode and got a ridiculous amount of pings. So what the server did was ban them.
I'll post logs possibly.
The server just couldn't handle the load at that time.
Sorry.
But at least I am paying and providing servers.
Compared to ID KS that we dealt with, that server had consistent lag. My server had 2 or 3 times where is jumped.

Re: Ladle 49
INW's server was ok until semis, then it started lagging and freezing, but overall it was very good.
Gz to MYM - 2 very close matches 100-98 and 100-96. Today you were more cold-blooded
Can't wait for Ladle 50!

Re: Ladle 49
I agree. It's unfortunate when that happens, but it's completely unreasonable to try and recreate the team balance and positions on the grid. I think this is the best policy.dlh wrote:A new rule/guideline that's needed:If the server you're playing in crashes, then an admin will reset the scores to what they were before the server crashed. I agree with sine. i don't like the committing suicide idea to recreate the player advantage.
A redo of the round is the simplest.
Should we also recreate it even more to put the sweepers where they were and to make the other team's def half broken because that is how it was when the server crashed? I think it is unreasonable.

I shouldn't have said that, sorry. It's really great you're providing servers for the ladle.
Well done mYm for beating us, were some great and close matches.

Re: Ladle 49
I do realize the server did lag at times because I felt them myself.
Anyway, very good matches CT. The best I've ever been in and really fun matches DS and SP! FooFoo <3
Also, this was probably the longest ladle I've seen in a while. CT and SP matches lasted forever as each round took forever with 2 sweep boxes and double def and no one wanting to die.
Very nice ladle.

GZ everyone. CT you almost gave me a heart-attack. Let's do it again next month.

Re: Ladle 49
Yeah this is the one thing that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. You guys are a lot better than the score was and I have no doubt it would have been a closer and better contested fight if we played in an American server (Although I was the only American on our team).teen wrote:@SP: I honestly did not know the rules about switching servers but we (me and acid) decided to play first match and if it was too laggy ask to play in the other server. I guess we thought that would be fair for all. I doubt we would have won in AOT server against you but it def would have been a better fight!
We kind of got a taste of that in the finals playing in INW's. But seeing as it was the main specified finals server, not much we could do about that - it wouldn't be in mYm's interests to hop to an EU server, as they are predominately American.
Anyways nice matches to everyone whom we played, very long rounds and matches. Takes me back to SP vs Plus and NE.
Congrats to mYm for winning your 1st ladle, did it pretty quick too - expecting to see more from you.
Feels good to be back.

Nice matches PL , unk , dv , R , mym , grats on your victory , i kind feel sad people got disconnected during final , but thats life whatever , server was fine for me .
I agree with insa on what he said talkin about dv thats true i think you could have done better in usa serv but at start of the match we agreed on playin in eu and we were rly late thats why we didnt want to change on 2 nd match i think we were like more than 30 mins late , anyways wont happen again.
I really enjoyed it until my mates s connection problem , thx to everyone , nice job organisators as always , thx for recordings z-man
Next ladle is ladle 50, time goes fast!

whew. Hell of some matches. Tx, you guys were something...hour and a half round? Jeebus. You guys had my heart beating at 100% capacity the full time. Open team, you guys were fun, especially chrisd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And sp....oh boy, you guys are jerks for beating us when we worked our butts off against you, but really, those were some of the best fort matches I've ever played in.
Thanks to everybody who contributed to this. z-man, awesome job with the recordings, looks like you've outdone yourself this time.
And a final thing, is it just me, or do any other northern americans feel more comfortable playing in euro servers than US ones? Smaller lagometers is nice, but I'm just so used to the high ping rubber since public fort is 9 times out of 10 in european servers.
