Rudycantfail wrote:I think 8v8 matches is best, active players is not rly an issue because I see more then enough on each team. Although this may be a good time to cancel out inactive players, I know Goodygumdrops is an ideal candidate but I also havent see him play tron in over 3 months :o

As for voting, I say each person gets 7 votes, although they are not aloud voting for themselves.
I know for a fact that goody can't play. I guess we'll also need to vote to have 8v8 or 6v6 since it seems like people are split.

Well, next posts should only consist of voting until there's an answer.

6v6 or 8v8? (or another suggestion of course..)

I vote for 8v8.

This means: If you're missing any players on the list, add them now.
One week should be enough for everyone to check the list :)

After that, we'll make two new topics. "North American team vote" and "European team vote", with a list of the nominees. Only the people on this list may submit a vote.
The vote will consist of max. 8 players. When everyone has had a chance to vote, we'll see who the starting 8, plus 2 subs are.
Sound good?
There you go, all the info needed.
Is the deadline good; have enough nominees been added? Are we ready to start the team voting?

In the voting threads, nominees submit their vote in the appropriate thread as follows:
I vote for: Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4, Player 5, Player 6, Player 7, Player 8

<Insert personal message/funny comment and a smiley here, if necessary>
When the voting is finished, we'll count the votes and see who the 8 players and 2 subs on each team are. After that the both teams can start deciding who their team's captain is. Shouldn't be hard to decide. (Shouldn't even be needed: the teams can just agree (by discussion or vote) on people's starting positions. With each player having more freedom of choice, the match will be more fun to watch I'd say). But since you all seem to want team captains I can't argue with that. Anyway: It'll be down to the 8+2 team members to decide that. Having a team captain shouldn't be mandatory in a match like this.

I'll start the voting threads on sunday (midnight GMT), then nominees can have a few weeks to vote. No deadline required to start with; we can add one if the process is too slow.
