Yea every1 got mad at taz for rules that didn't exist. Taz played by the rules therefor you can't complain and no1 said anything to anyone else when they did it.

when you hit pedestrians with your car because you are driving on the sidewalk they are STILL violated, even if there's no law against violating people who are walking on the sidewalk (so obviously some people will feel encouraged to go to that country ...)

Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
hit someone where i live and you go to jail
but i think i know what your saying. kind of like the whole religious debate in the US right now. Freedom of religion vs. Freedom from religion. although its completely okay to do it, it violates others and causes problems.
(yes im just ranting. im actually on the of relgion side. nothing better to do in class so might as well type

That's recklous driving and driving to endanger. ;) not to mention a possible involuntary manslauter charge if the pedestrian was killed or murder by motor vehicle. ;)Word wrote:when you hit pedestrians with your car because you are driving on the sidewalk they are STILL violated, even if there's no law against violating people who are walking on the sidewalk (so obviously some people will feel encouraged to go to that country ...)

You did something wrong then, everyone had "associates" or whatever its called.Word wrote:Yes, but no clue why you hadn't. We included the authorities before it started.Mecca wrote:Aren't all team leaders supposed to have team leader? It just makes everything so much smoother.
Also, hitting someone with a car is against the rules, regardless of where they are...

Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
if i hit someone with car i get ban?

that was my pointMecca wrote:Also, hitting someone with a car is against the rules, regardless of where they are...

usually we germans follow our cliché to have rules for every little (and usually self-explanatory) crap

the latest example is the "German is the official language of Germany"-law (which will probably not be passed, but there were already serious debates XD)
Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
How is running/camping supposed to be self explanatory? People run in CTF all the time, and many players primarily camp in sumo.
Canadian is not the official language of Canada, so it is not completely ridiculous to have that law passed in Germany.

Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
That's something different, because it's part of the game and your team benefits from it. You are supposed to score when you have the flag, so it's not pure cowardice when you aren't seeking fights all the time.Mecca wrote:How is running/camping supposed to be self explanatory? Same for sumo. You die if you cannot stay in your zone.
But you don't die everytime you attempt to attack someone in C&P, do you? the only way you can score is by killing all enemies which means you're expected to do something actively.
Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
Yes, the people who were boxing themselves in and running away were giant pussies and made the rounds boring and long.
..But there is no rule against it so the people who were flaming them really need to flame the people who made the rules instead.

Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
The campers/runners were doing something actively. They were staying alive, which you get 2x the kill points for. Players also randomly kill themselves sometimes (fat fingers, lack of attention span, bored to death, w/e).Word wrote:That's something different, because it's part of the game and your team benefits from it. You might want to think before you blurt out a thought; in sumo, you don't die every time you attack someone. The only way you can score in sumo is by killing people, or outlasting your enemies (if camping or running happens to be the way you go about it, good for you).

Re: Crosseyed and Painful tournament...
I suppose our opinions are too different here. camping/running is usually a sign of panic in LMS (at least in the servers where i played, the runners were nearly always inferior as soon as someone began to chase them).Mecca wrote:The campers/runners were doing something actively. Even if you disagree with that (there are enough reasons for and against what I just said), I do think that camping in a LMS is just misbehaviour (it was a tourney so some people surely liked to win it by all possible means, so my job is to turn that one off

I didn't say that you're unable to attack while you are in your zone, but it's just stupid at times when you have enough room while most others can't get in and die because of their collapsing zones.Mecca wrote:You might want to think before you blurt out a thought; in sumo, you don't die every time you attack someone. However, you find me in the server, i'm currently trying to change the settings a bit so it's impossible to do that again.
