At the time I was living in NE. At the start of 2002, I eagerly awaited the release for the Tron 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition DVD. The order came in and I bolted out to pick it up that very day. Invited some good friends overand made an occasion out of it. A day of food, fiends and Tron.
Later on that night, I thought to myself, "Would be pretty cool if there was a 3d version of a lightcycle game." So thus began my search.

Found a few games, nothing worth mentioning. Then I came across "Walls". Thought to myself... THIS IS PERFECT! But at the time, no master server as we know today existed. At the time, if I remember correctly, only direct IP connection was supported. Don't remember. So I tinkered with it for a while, until... life.

As we all know, life happens. The change of jobs, homes and personal crap. Anyways...ended up in WY Jan of 2004. Found the game again, but under the new name "Armagetron". This time around, the master server was up and running. Immediately became addicted to the online aspect of the game. Played almost a full year before I joined the forums here in the end of Dec of '04. Been watching the community grow and doing my fair share of grid running ever since. I might not post much, but I'm around. *lurk lurk* lol
