Hey Compguygene, we did plan a meeting. Code was online earlier, and we were waiting for Destiny to get done doing somethings for her mom. I'm sure we waited a at least a good 30 minuets. About 5 minuets before Destiny back came on, Code had went offline. I'm sure when he comes back online, we can try to set up a meeting again.

You were email spammed. There was no attack on your forums or servers.


Why would banning people in game keep them from attacking your servers and forums? If anything it would only want to make them do it more.

Sorry to stray off topic, but how does this curse filter work? If you swear too much it bans you for an hour instantly, or does it search the logs then ban you afterwards? I am just really curious about it.

A quick update. I spoke with Taz in IM and he is going to have code ping me in IM. I really want to work this out in IM if possible...not the forums. My personal goal is to eventually get some conversations going between ID and VCL to end the problems.

As to the new script. Manta has implemented a script that autobans you from a Wild West Server if you curse 4 times in a given period of time. You are then banned from that server for one hour. He has done this because we are rather short of moderators right now. I am now a moderator in any Wild West server, so I can help fix silly problems.

Let's end all the Drama by working together and talking together. This is a game, not a war, not a fight!

Since this is my first post, Ill give some background so everyone will know its me. I started playing tron about 2 years ago, since then Ive been in EC|d, then joined FW where I lead the CTF division. After FW disbanded we created haZe, which quickly died from inactivity. Ive been in VcL since, moving up to leading our newly created DF division.. which is 3-0 for wins so far!

To begin, I must say this is not a good time to be in any clan. Everything seems to be falling apart here. Some might say that ID was the real loser here, but I beg to differ. Weve all lost. When i first started playing this game everything was so peaceful, there were wars but it was friendly. Now i have to struggle just to have a war against ID because of all of this drama.

Take it from me that ive not enjoyed all of this. I try to keep out of it, because honestly, diving into this drama seems like it would be more effort than its worth, but there comes a time when someone just has to come in and say "enough is enough".

Everybody has something against each other at this point. Someone said something mean about their friend, someones acting crazy, and now someone goes and tears apart a forum. Isnt this human nature though? Its something that any community has to see past. Its one of those times where you have to look at the bigger picture and realize that despite the fact that we are split into clans, we are all in the same community and no one clan or one person should have less respect than others. Theres competition and ranking.. and then there is taking it too far.

I dont know who did this to the ID forums, but I wish i did. Not so that i could kick them in the face or take some sort of vengeance, but just so i could tell everyone and get this over with. Everybody just wants to know, everyone just wants to place the blame on someone.. but why? Will you feel better about yourselves knowing that this one person was set to justice? Everybody played their part in this. Everybody at one point irritated someone else, and then that person took it out on someone, and then there were rumors spread, and eventually far down the road, someone stepped over the boundary. Do not overlook everything else because of this one large event.

Word came to me today because i am pretty high up in vcl. He came to me asking if code had ever spoken to us about hacking the site, or made any comments that would suggest he was thinking about it. All i can say is.. ive never heard anything about it. Not one word.. pardon my pun. The things I have heard from code though, were ones that basically promoted peace. Messages saying that everybody just needs to calm down and not bring up anything more to anger other clans or start more drama. If anything, code has been trying to make all this stop. With a mindset like that, i would find it VERY surprising that he himself was planning this behind our backs. Go ahead and say that it was all some twisted plot, but I dont think code has the time or experience to do this sort of thing.

So what happens now? Well, Im hoping that by saying all this, someone will read and agree with me. Please understand that anything past this point that counts as an accusation also counts as one more thing to tear us all apart. Whats done is in the past now, and theres really nothing that can be done as far as catching whoever did this. What we must do is prevent it from happening again.

In my opinion, if I were someone planning on hacking the ID site, the recent events would provide the PERFECT cover to get in and escape unscathed.

Hah I'm glad you asked that; I got a 59 ban for an f bomb the other day straight away; yet returned later & there was swearing all over the place. Does it depend on the time of day I wonder..

Nice to see you post on this topic. I agree that we all lose if we go with this drama BS. So, for the fifth time, I am going to try to refocus this thread back to topic. Summertime, you always have a bunch a bored people deliberately causing trouble in Armagetron. I guess if you don't have a fulfilling real life, you need to seek out chaos. Quite frankly, because of how selective we are about Wild West clan memebers, we end up with members who have pretty full real lives as well. So, the biggest trouble we have in the Summertime, is getting people to be able to show up for tournaments. Right now, 2/3 of my clan members are either on vacation, or very busy with other summer projects! But, they do still feed the Armagetron Addiction. I suppose one value of this crazy thread for the community as a whole is to vent some feelings. However, we all really need to move on with our various tronic lives and enjoy the game!
At this moment, Taz and Code are banned from Wild West and ID Forums and Game Servers. However, VCL clan members are NOT! I would encourage VCL clan members to continue to play in Wild West servers as they have. I would also encourage VCL members to sign up teams for Wild West Tournaments. Just because we have issues with your co-leaders, this does not mean we have issues with you or your clan! I would also like to point out that I am now a moderator in all Wild West servers, and am currently more active in Ww servers, so feel free to ask me for help at any time. The all the Wild West servers now support Armathentication, so if you want to protect yourself, please start to use Armathentication. I just want to end the drama, and the first step is for us to just talk. I think that you have some unique talents, and I would like to see them used to help the game! I even have an Idea for a project we could do together, but we NEED to talk in IM. In other words, I am offering you an olive branch, and saying let's just talk! It is in your best interests! If everyone who has been involved in these summer dramas put that energy into inventing new servers, game modes, and new armagetron code, this game would really grow!
So, in summation, let's just talk people! Let's all enjoy the game we all love! And most of all, let's just get along and try to do POSITIVE things to make Armagetron a better game for not just us, but future generations!
