Ah, that's the quirky part in Windows

The file name is a fixed file on the desktop, ArmagetronAdvancedDebugRecording.aarec, if I'm not mistaken. You can find out by starting a recording with the start menu entry. You then have to rename the recording you want to watch to that name, and hit the playback start menu entry.

pity no-one is specifying anything specific to look at

i am going to take the longest game in that match...

answering spectator questions

btw
only a couple of keys work with the recording
for some reason
and not the ones i have set for the game
which means a reduced capacity to alter camera angles etc
any reasons why this is?

Yes, the usual one: they're debug recordings and contain the input at the lowest possible level to be most useful for debugging. That means keyresses are in the recording as keypresses, not high level control events. It's my keyboard layout you have to work with. For the camera controls, it should match the default layout. The defaults of 0.2.7 or even earlier, my config there is quite old.

4th round in the 4th and deciding match

haven't captured that much
and haven't been able to play with camera angles that much

we really need to be able to focus on specific players
and specific items of skill
if anyone is aware of them...
either you pulled off something crazy
or someone else you saw did...

i would like to do another vid with one of the winning players perhaps...

Sure. I saw SS doing a good defense in general. There sweepers did a great job. I remeber one round, they tried to kill ~X~ who was in their zone but as far as I remember it, he survived and won the round.

been trying to find the documentation for this
where can i find the default camera settings...?
been pressing every key available
and i just can't get it to zoom in on the bike
damned frustrating

Err, sorry. The configuration used is older than I thought. What you can do: Make your own recording, it doesn't have to be long, just entering the program and leaving again. Open your recording and mine in two editors. Look for lines beginning with

Code: Select all

CONFIG LKEYBOARD

and containing CAMERA in your configuration. Copy them over to my recording after all CONFIG LKEYBOARD lines there. Since I didn't press any keys, this should be fine. You can even copy over your whole keyboard config if you like.
