Kings of the Grid

It is very internet explorer unfriendly, but friendly enough to let you switch skins.

Next to the originally planned Kings of the Grid idea there's a 1v1 Sumo Ladder I want to start up. But well.. I guess it would be better if you checked it out yourself.

Looks cool, I've added it to the links page on the main site. When SF lets me connect to ssh again it'll show up.

Nice design of the site Lacks. Sounds interesting.

EDIT: Thanks for making it at noon time during the week for US players. Who's available then? How about Saturdays?

So for us in North America to play we have to skip school or take our lunch break to play??? This really doesn't seem like it would the best time. Unless you only want euro's, which with the current time framing seems like this is what you want, we should have a european and a North American conferense and every couple of weeks the two kings of the grid battle to see which conferense is King.

Well I didn't see anyone complain when I posted about 6 - 9pm. But yes, i see your point. Since 12 GMT is pushing it for most europeans during the week the only viable option left would be during the day on saturday, or we could do it every sunday when there isn't a ladle or tst. People who don't play on sundays would miss all the good stuff though.

Or maybe one hour every weekday. What's the timedifference again? GMT +6-9?

I'm not really comfortable with the idea of having a seperate american - euro conference because then i'm just not sure if we will have enough people. Also having an important match between two teams where one will always have an advantage over the other lag-wise doesn't seem like a good idea.

well
a fixed date and time
is one solution

how about the current kings of the grid
offering the server and time for the coming week...
ready to take on any challengers...?

this might be a regular thing
but it can change when a new team ousts the old one...

could a more flexible approach like this work?

The US (not including Hawaii & Alaska) ranges from GMT -5 (east coast) to GMT -8 (west coast). This is why 8pm GMT has been great for me in the ladles and TST. It's noon where I live and that's about when I get up :P.

It logs me in just fine, do you get some error message or something? I really don't know what it could be.
