I've always wanted a 2 flag CTF tourney. Each team would have 2 flags to defend. I can probably add a line to ct servers about it too. and if it does not conflict other tournaments (that someone has told me about) i can defensively host a server or 2.

If Ladle's time and day of week is fine, what date should it be? 13 of February or 20 of Feburary?

I would say the 13th, Ladle is first sunday, and it have been discussed that a sumo tournament would be the 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month, so that leaves the 13th.

just a note, when you get the full list of authorities you will have to change the filename or servers won't get updated

Its been updated please take a look.

I know that R said they would be willing to host a U.S server and when I talked to word he said that he could host a Euro one if I reminded Ai. I know that tru is also hosting a euro server.

Kyle would you be willing to host two normal ctf servers for this tournament?
Unfortunatly the U.S servers we aquired will be going down due to some problems. All money will be given back, but the 8 U.S servers we have will be gone in some time. Which is why we would need some more U.S servers if you could help us out.

I can't imagine R not hosting one (or more). Somebody with server experience: would it be bad to run more than one tourney server on 1 machine?

About the lag issues:

4v4 is much better than 5v5. 5v5 is intolerable during tournies and wars. It isn't as apparent in standard play because of the lack of people "wiggling" around (the wiggling is also related to fps drops).

And yea spectators do add to lag. That was the main concern Destiny had when admining matches, which is why she locked the servers. About 4 spectators equalled 1 player (in terms of lag) in Ww servers. So if 5v5 games are pretty bad, imagine what 4v4's with 16 spectators would be like.

Maybe some higher-end servers will be better, but I doubt there will be much of a difference

Okay first off thank you very much to R, Ct, and Pru for helping us out with the servers.
Tobe: I’m not sure if you saw, but in a previous post I mentioned it would be a 4v4 with server limits of 15.
Hopefully with the wiki page up it will be as efficient as the ladle, so don't forget to sign your team up!
As soon as we get enough people in we will post the starting brackets.

Just to be sure. Can we test out a server 4v4 with everybody wiggling and 7 specs? Let's see how it handles.

Also, can we call this tournament the Fork, or maybe the Spatula? The monthly Spatula!

Haha the name of this tournament was not really on my priority list, so I will leave it up to you guys. What ever catches on first will be what we use. Synonym for the ladle, "the scoop" lol.

On another note:
The teams I was hoping to get in this tourney would be U, R, ID, Pru, vZ, (maybe dpg and nbk/ha if they agree to show) and I would love to have some open teams or even fort teams participate in these tournaments.
