What I don't get is how many times everyone wants to cover the same ground. I don't really see anything written so far that wildly differs with anything else, and none of it feels to be in the spirit of friendly discussion.

Phytotron makes an excellent point that it wouldn't be a classic server anymore. I wouldn't have used the word "gimmick" myself, but I really do think the reaction to it is a bit disproportional. It really seems like it's open season on Phytotron lately. All I'm feeling here is hostility.

So what I'm going to do something I haven't done in a while, and exercise my right to lock.

(And just for everyone's information, Phytotron makes a good point that we've been calling LMS the wrong thing. The majority of servers use a scoring system bashed off of Armagoshdarn that awards points for kills, the same as in any death match type game. A true LMS mode would be only if the round won score was applied and no other points.)
