That doesn't make sense at all. But I know what you mean and frankly I dont care.

EDIT:
Yes I won't reply to any remarks that reflect plain stupidity in the future.

Fine, our reaction might be priceless and hilarious, but you know that you would have a similar reaction if what happened to us, happened to you.
Erm, tr / x / tx whatever you guys call yourselves these days, have won the ladle quite a few times and I don't recall immature responses like these.

I propose more sumo tournaments for Durka, so he can feel better about himself and stop bitching. ;)

Dude, I was referring to his nick. As far as I know he isn't DDMA. I thought jealousy would fit better. But what is worse? Tx's 'priceless reaction' or flex's 'priceless reaction'?

Perhaps we could discuss tactics? Topic title anyone?

I would like to hear what people thought about the double def's that various teams used. There were definitely several different styles in use. Discuss?

I find it quite interesting how SP is one of the only teams who didn't use a double def of some sort.

On a tactical note:

It may have looked like we had 3 sweepers, but we really didn't. The early split was to 100% make sure that the center was blocked. I would cover the right side, grind the back rim, then cover the front side of the zone until Deso was setup. The sweeping was then up to Hoax and Subz. I was more of a midfielder, surveying the grid from the middle of the field. If one of our sweepers died, I'd go back to help. If one of their attackers died, I'd go back to try and double or triple team their other attackers. On the other hand, if one of our attackers died or one of their sweepers died, I'd help out the attack. We only had what looked like 3 sweepers at the very start to ensure a perfect setup for Deso.

So you were a default sweeper...Only when an attacker died did you attack so your guys' sweepers were equal/advantaged in numbers over our attackers. So yes, you had 3 sweepers

I would say that we effectively had 3 sweepers at the early stages of a round to counter sp's attack (psyk viper delta). You could also say that our start was defensive; but we still had 2 attackers. This seemed to work as we won the first match convincingly added with a,,,,,not warmed up sp.
I don't know what's hilarious about "tx's" reaction; It's clearly frustration at individual connection problems affecting gameplay (which could have obviously been dealt with better but nonetheless still a setback) in the second match which was pretty even but with sp in front iirc, so there is the annoyance of what was a good contest turning into a shambles third match which sp took easily.

Also there seems to be alot of chat on playfortress about defining a team as attacking or defensive and people getting annoyed at being classed as/not as either. Even when this seems to be such a fine line as a slightly different start than the 'standard' or an extra sweeper or attacker etc.
If your teams attack is better than the other teams defence you will win and vice versa. The best team will win on the day.

I'm sure every team has learned something and will improve their game for the next ladle which should be even better :)

I thought you were talking about something else when I clicked the link. Flex's real reaction totally sucks :(

Well i have a simple question that might not even belong in this topic but in a way goes along with it.

Maybe some people would like to share their sweeping strategy because i would really like to learn some better sweeping moves/tactics. The recent ladles have been very defensive so i am hoping some people could share.

The only sweeping technique i really know is what i would call the "two point contact" where the sweepers take each side of the def and just basically dont give the attackers the side and will grind from front od the def to back of def hitting the front and back to trap any attacker who does get into the sides. Of course the sweeper will go on the attack if he has the chance and pressure attackers near him

Since i am hearing lots of talk about sweeping and defense would anyone care to share their sweeping techniques and strategies?
