I'm trying not to say things like "that's gay" and/or "that's retarded" simply because it's derogatory and also makes you look quite ignorant. Anyone who is able to speak English well enough to convert it to slang/more colloquial speak should be able to express their dissatisfaction with a wider vocabulary.. Just saying.
"You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one;
I hope some day you will join us, and the world can live as one"

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

I believe that to truly love is the ultimate expression of the will to live.

I thought gay was to define homosexual people and *** was to insult them... Or is gay too much of an insult too?

Congratulations hayes and your beautiful country.

There is nothing wrong with the word gay, but you should remember that it derives from a totally different meaning not related to homosexuality.. Nevertheless it's a term that gay men are happy with.

The qualm is with the use of the term to show negativity towards an event/action. In other words, why is the word "gay" being associated with things that people dislike. As Phytotron said, it's homophobia at it's best, be you conscious of it or not.

The bottom line is saying it makes you look like an uneducated moron. Please widen your vocabulary, for your own sake; If you think talking in this way will get you far "in real life" you have another thing coming.

Nah. As long as the discussion stays civil, there's no need for a lock. Going off-topic is perfectly fine if the original topic has been discussed to the end, which is the case.
