It's a graph of the electric potential in the earth's atmosphere during a thunderstorm.

Nice try.

Is the algorithm representative of some sort of sampling of something physical?

Could part of it be something along the lines of the distance between the center of two pixels along an axis is 1m, ie, is there a scale factor from physical to your representation?

It doesn't have any particular scale, but I'd probably prefer >1m for the physical version.

So there's something that looks like that that's quite large... I think it's time to get back to what color means. It's not height, and probably not intensity. Does it have to do with frequency?

Actually both frequency and intensity seem about right.

A macro-scaled semi-algorithm 2D visual-spacial representation of frequency/intensity. Is there energy somewhere in there?

The 'energy' is really part of the algorithm. The input is more like resistance if anything (but talking about it in terms of that would only be confusing).

At the moment the whole thing is confusing. I'm clutching at straws here. Energy on the macro scale... Is it kinetic energy?

So after a little break, partly due to connection loss, I'm back here. Note that I said 'energy', not energy, but it's most like kinetic energy.

I just figured it has something to with colour values and/or image compression or some such thing, as most of your avatars have. You know, technical stuff over my head.
