well lets hope the fx guys just concentrate on keeping it real and dont throw every concievable effect in just because they can,,,, its funny those hollywood office types are going to be running around shouting get me someone who knows about tron,,the styles,,the gameplay,, the players,,the cycles etc,,,, im,e sure that the AA community would have been a great place for the film makers to consult about the spirit of the game ,, tron world,,tactics etc hmmm or maybe we could put something together ourselfs,,,,,on a smaller budget of course,,,even if its an animation,,,,,,,there,s plenty of small cinemas and venues that screen home produced stuff ,,,and with all the talent the AA community has,,,i recon the results would be amazing,,,,,,,,,,and i recon getting licence to do it wouldent be a prob hmm rad is going to investigate the possibility ,,,,, i wont mention the AA community ,,,, i want to dig first

Yes, you've certainly done that. One wonders why you people keep up the pretense of using lightcycles and other allusions to the concept at all.Lucifer magisterially wrote:...permanently divorce ourselves from...a light cycle game
2020 would have been more correct if he wrote:postmodernism is a bunch of mindless, muddleheaded, vapid, vacuous, pseudointellectual, phoney, stupifying, solipsistic, obfuscating, ostentatious, pseudophilosophical twaddle, piffle, flim-flam, nonsense, rubbish.

well...
i got a little way down the line...
passed the idea by my friend
about approaching the makers of the new film
and we combined with another idea
approaching apple with a non-managed collaboration tool
since there's a connection between steve jobs and disney as it happens
we wrote up some stuff
passed it onto a third person who we worked with over the summer
who liked the idea
so we were three bods ready to high-tail to los angeles
we put it past a fourth person
and they didn't see the opportunity
so...
i've left it...
i don't know how these things progress
(in fact that's why we didn't go forwards
because the fourth person was meant to find out the state of play
where the writers were etc)
but my impression is
i think the window of opportunity has just passed
we needed to get into contact with the writers as they are starting
since once they have hit on a narrative
it will be difficult to influence...

Phytotron
apply your considerable intellect for a moment
tron:
a character sucked into a virtual world
film:
we enter into the fantasy world created by the director steve lisberger
armagetron:
we connect to servers and click buttons left and right to interact with each other on an imaginary grid
hehehe
it's all fantasy
the trick is
it becomes more real when we actually interact
this game is better than the film
because we actually interact a little more than just paying to consume a film
we actually develop skills
teamwork
and god forbid
the trust in one another to self-organise
hehehhe
Phytotron
wake up
i've no idea what world you live in
but if you want to take out your bitterness on someone
just do it on the grid
when we are on opposite teams
otherwise
bubble quietly in your own gastric juices as you eat yourself from the inside
hehheheh
(gosh
that was a little acidic)

When Phytotron doesn't like you, that's a compliment.

love itEvery time you make popcorn, there are always those fluffy, white, happy popped pieces that are fun to eat and look at and everybody likes them. But there are also always those burnt, hard kernels at the bottom that don't pop. You know why they don't pop? They don't pop because they have integrity.

What makes a pop-corn pop is that it can build up stream as it gets heated. The steam pressure will make the shell rip suddenly and the flesh explode in the white cloud form. Should a corn have failiures in its shell, the steam will leak, never building the required pressure to rip the shell, leaving the corn unopened. The un-poped corn left are the ones that have integrity problems.Concord wrote:love itEvery time you make popcorn, there are always those fluffy, white, happy popped pieces that are fun to eat and look at and everybody likes them. Sorry, the science of it has been nagging me for a long while. Let this be a comment on popcorn and nothing more.
