I can tell that connections to specific computers can depend on your, and only your, ISP. I have experienced it in practice :( probably because the ISP's network isn't connected to the rest of the Internet very well.

I fed the ladderlogs through the CTFW ladder parser, modifed the stats page just a bit, and it came up with this.
It only has data from those matches at z-mans server, since they are the only logs I have.
If any other server admins want to send me the ladderlog.txt of the matches in the same format as these, I will add their stats to the database.

Lack expressed an interest in using something like this for the King of the Grid when the fortress side of it is up and running. I wanted to see how it would work. I'm still tweaking other parts of it, when it's finished I will post it up.
It's ok, but it gets messy when players change their names.
Look at the stats for ?? (do a search on ??), that's what they should look like.

For more info on the ladder itself, see here.

Wrtl: Where did you live in Canada?

Ed: If you look at the stats it shows TuI~Luzifer at the top, but he changed his name a bit through it to TuI~LacrYmosa, so if you play one crazy good round, you can just rename and you can still be at the top :P.

And what about you just stop changing names during the tournament? It sucks if you don't know who you're fighting against. Luckily I didn't have to play against you guys and I wouldn't ever want to meet you in the quarters.

This is the reason why, on the CTWF stats, you need to have played a minimum of 100 rounds before you are shown.
If the ladder were to be used for this purpose, without some kind of authentication, it requires a little player cooperation.
Not changing your name throughout the competition is not too much to ask.
According to the ladder tui had at least 14 members.

regarding server location
i agree with z-man
and there is provision for team captains to negotiate

we tried to introduce this right at the beginning
and people are still a little slow on the pickup

note:
the challenge board is not merely a list of teams
but specifically a negotiation on who to play
and where to play

team captains are encouraged to place their team at a suitable slot
on a server which suits them
and against teams which might potentially lead them to the final...

the question of server and collective team ping
has always been a problem
and will always continue to be...
it's the nature of the game
and thus
i feel we should trust players to resolve it
and hence
build into the system
enough flexibility for such negotiations to take place
and
to avoid psyko's point of shit-talkers
we stick as closely to the timing as possible
hence there is only a few minutes to negotiate
hold the line
