Glad to see another one of my old suggestions is be taken up on. Many ladles/moons ago I suggested that we should implement no holes into servers to test for future ladles. Seeding has turned out to be a gem, glad to see my other idea is starting to blossom.
I don't think it should be implemented in an actual ladle- a team does deserve a method of decisive victory if they greatly outnumber their opponents, plus, the teamwork associated with holing now has gone quite far.
I still think a cool thing to try out is increasing the zone size by 1.5 -> 2 (somewhere in between). The defender can't wrap his entire tail around the zone, thus allowing ganking which would be more strenuous for sweepers and add more strategies.
Larger zones only mean quicker degradation to Sumo. The only strategy change is this: Put your best Sumo players on defense.
Get some test servers up and active before any of you propose a vote on settings next quarter. It'll do you good to drum up support. Changes like this have a historically low chance of being adopted.

I like how holes changed sweeping tactics this year. And every little detail can now decide which team will win and which will lose. I think soon we will reach a point where sweepers would be able to successfully block/prevent most holes, and holing as the main tactic will become useless.

Well I can't speak for everyone, but if I had to guess I'd say most people (who have posted) are curious about how a match would be without holes. Personally I see both the positives and negatives of holing and think it would be interesting to test.
Also I like the idea of expanding the zone, like sine said, someone set up a large zone fort server .

Test server up
Ladle Fortress Test server (The Server Pharm KS). For those of you that had access to my tournament servers, this is setup that way. Yes, sine, that means you. Right now it has just the ladle config, the ladle authorities, and EXPLOSION_RADIUS 0.
