I have 2 secure computers at the moment ...... one, the hd doesnt work and the second one isn't on

If you want a secure computer... try Knoppix .... its linux on a CDROM wich by default can access hd's but doesn't make them write enabled (you can make them write enabled by a command) And since you can't write to the CDROM which has the filesytem its great.

To run it you dont even need a HD in the computer!
Its great when your hd is f'ed up and you want to see if you can do anything with it. etc

It even runs X11 automagically really well

IT would be good for iceman to tryout X11... unfortunatley its a bit big to download using a 56k modem :/

Yeah iceman! I took the plunge... but I am not holding my breath.
Just think of Linux like the ocean... and you can breathe underwater with the assistance of mermaids. Now the mermaids allow you to navigate anywhere...ummmmm...

Nevermind. 8)

No! Your all wrong! Most stable Windows was Windows ME! LOL J/K.

I never tried it but I hear it really sucks. No need to say "It does" just because your trying to reach your posting goal, lol

Sweet iceman! I'm actually a big fan of WFWG3.11.. I've had some fun on it :o. I actually have a 900MB hd with an original compaq install of 3.1 lying around, in my desk. Not that I use it. I actually just save it for ski-free .
